Barstool Casino
Barstool Casino is part of a bigger, established gambling brand and it shows in the quality they have at such a young age. New players at Barstool are generally unimpressed with the unusual welcome bonus, but everything else—from the range of games, to excellent customer service and easy banking—makes a compelling case for a top-quality casino. Use this review to find out exactly what to expect with Barstool Casino.

Barstool Casino Bonus
While the online signup bonus isn’t valuable unless you lose money, the in-person sign-up bonus is a better deal. However, you must be near one of the myChoice locations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or Michigan. You must visit one of the participating casinos to take advantage, and this option isn’t available for players in New Jersey.
Bonus and Promotions Score: 2.0

Barstool has taken a unique approach to the welcome bonus: instead of matching the player’s deposit with a certain percentage, they’re essentially offering a cashback bonus. Any losses suffered in the first 24 hours after registration will be “refunded” by Barstool, up to $1,000, in bonus cash. Wagering requirements apply.

The no deposit bonus is for sports bets only, and the only significant restriction is that players cannot bet on collegiate teams based in their state. As for the main bonus, we’re pretty disappointed. In order for players to benefit at all, they are required to lose money playing their games – in other words, players need to pay the casino in order to earn the chance to make a profit on bonus cash. It’s one of the least generous welcome bonuses we’ve seen.
Barstool Casino Promotions
Sportsbook customization bonus: By simply updating the “Betting Favorites” section in your account preferences, all new players can earn a FREE $5 bonus. This will be credited to your account and subject to a 1x wagering requirement, which is restricted to lines -200 or longer. It’s good to know, though, that this special offer come on top of the regular Barstool Casino Michigan sign up bonus and all other Barstool welcome bonuses offered to new players.
Sportsbook no deposit bonus: There is also a Barstool $10 no deposit bonus, available to all players after registration. This will be credited automatically after a player verifies their contact details. Keep in mind, that the Barstool Casino no deposit bonus is offered exclusively for the sports betting choices. But since the Barstool Casino PA no deposit bonus is easy to get and available to players from all states in which Barstool is licensed, it is a very generous offer worth considering.
Seasonal promotions: Barstool is one of the few casinos that regularly showers its players with promotions and bonuses. Existing players are rewarded occasionally also with special Barstool Casino promo codes and can enjoy a wide range of further seasonal offers and promotions. These change multiple times every month, so log in now to see what free spins, deposit matches, or cashback offers you can grab!
MyChoice Rewards: Every player at Barstool automatically collects tier points which can be redeemed for merchandise, free play, dinner vouchers or even once-in-a-lifetime experiences. By climbing the different tiers, players can unlock companion cards, free hotel resort stays, monthly casino credits and so much more. Players must log into their account to see how many points they have accumulated, and how many points each perk with cost.
With casino wagering, players earn:
- 1 tier point for every $12 wagered on video slots
- 1 tier point for every $12 wagered on video poker
- 1 tier point for every $25 wagered on video slots
Deposits and Withdrawals
There are several ways to deposit and withdraw funds (Including cash at in-person locations) without any fees associated with the transactions. The minimum withdrawal for most methods is also a reasonable $10. Minor downsides: cryptocurrency options are unavailable, and the only quick electronic withdrawal option is through PayPal or Play+.
Deposits & Withdrawals Score: 4.5
Barstool Casino does a great job of offering well-rounded payment methods to players from all four qualifying states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Michigan.

Barstool Casino Games Selection
If slots are your thing, you might be disappointed in the selection, but there are still well over 100 available. There are also some exclusive slots and table games featuring the Barstool brand. The number of table games is more impressive, including live versions of blackjack, craps, baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Three Card Poker.
Game Selection Score: 3.5
We have to say, the casino games selection at Barstool is underwhelming. While there is a range of slots, table games and live dealer options, there isn’t the depth we see in other casinos. Worse, the layout and user experience needs serious investment because it is currently well below par.
Slots
It’s initially hard to rate the slots collection at Barstool Casino because they’re so hard to find. There are zero filtering options (other than “featured games” and “all games”) which makes browsing arduous. The available slots are visible on a little under half the screen, which is aesthetically unappealing.
Since there are less than 150 slots total, it’s easy enough to browse them all. However, this number is disappointing – some rival casinos boast up to 10x as many, with a significantly more friendly user experience.
Jackpots
While there are 3 “Megaways” slots which can pay out life-changing sums, they are all hidden away under “All Slots”, without their own section. These are great games, and it’s a shame they’re so hard to find.
Table Games
The table games selection covers all the expected games: blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and a few poker and video poker variations. Bet limits range from $0.10 to $10,000 in some games, meaning there is massive win potential for lucky players.
Live Casino
There are 21 live dealer tables available for players to use at Barstool Casino. Currently, this selection is including 17 blackjack tables, baccarat, three card poker, texas hold’em and infinite blackjack—a unique variant created by Evolution Gaming that allows unlimited players to wager at the same table, with the same dealer.
All the games are high-quality, however the lack of live roulette tables is disappointing.

Sports Betting
The Barstool Casino sportsbook is comprehensive. Players can bet on dozens of different sports, both domestic and international, with a gigantic variety of bets available within each sport and specific match. Any online casino fans who enjoy the occasional sports bet will be delighted to play at Barstool.
Barstool Casino App
The downfall of many mobile casino apps is that the information is cluttered on the screen, but that’s not the case with Barstool. The display is clean with easy functionality, giving you 100% of the features available on the desktop version.
Casino App Score: 5.0
The Barstool apps are available to any registered player that’s currently within New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Michigan state limits. While the app will not function if you leave the state—for example, on a trip—it will automatically allow access once you have returned. Using VPNs to “trick” the geolocation software does not work, and could result in an account ban.
Barstool apps have only been built for Android and iOS. Any players using an alternative operating system will need to download a compatible browser (e.g. Chrome) and play this way. While it’s not as convenient as the apps, we should stress that in-browser play still provides all the functionality you need for a top-tier gaming experience.

Performance
Barstool is one of the few online casinos that has managed to translate the desktop experience to a mobile experience without putting a single foot wrong. Where many apps feel a bit overcrowded from weak UX design, the Barstool apps feel spacious; the game tiles, menus, buttons and images all blend together harmoniously.
While it’s subtle, this brilliant design makes using the app more pleasurable (not to mention easier) than most competitors. Every new screen loads with lightning speed and the games are perfectly optimized for smartphones and tablets. The experience on iPad—which combines mobile ease of use with large-scale graphics—is exceptional.
Player feedback
The average ratings of 3.6/5 and 4.7/5 from more than 25,000 reviews tell most of the story: players really like the Barstool apps. These are amongst the strongest ratings in the industry, and direct quotes from players in the app stores include “withdrawals take up to 30 minutes—faster than any other site” and “everything works: loads fast, easy to read and place bets etc. 10 stars!”
We love playing on Barstool’s mobile apps.
Reputation and History
While Barstool as a brand isn’t as entrenched in the gaming industry like a Caesars or MGM, the company has quickly built a reputation as a fun, safe, and reliable option for players. In-person options to go along with mobile play in three of the four states it’s legal in is a nice touch.
Reputation and History Score: 4.5
Barstool Sportsbook was launched in 2020 by the immensely successful Barstool Sports company. It initially operated exclusively in Pennsylvania, but has since expanded to 4 states – Michigan in February 2021, New Jersey in August 2021, and in West Virginia just before Christmas 2021 – and plans to grow further.
The company is one of the fastest-growing in the US and has a reputation for fairness and empowering players.
- Parent company—Penn National Gaming
- Date founded—September 18, 2020
- License—Yes, in NJ, MI, WV and PE
Responsible Gaming
Barstool has pages on its website dedicated to problem gaming resources along with transparency of the lengths the company takes to ensure that games are fair. Payout percentages for individual games are listed but are difficult to find as a whole.
Responsible Gaming Score: 4.5
Barstool Casino goes to serious lengths to ensure player safety. First and foremost, they make an acute effort to highlight risk factors for problem gambling and provide sources (both educational and practical) to help players manage their problems.

Barstool Online Support
Live chat is among the best we’ve seen among online casinos, as responses are quick and comprehensive. Support options also include a contact form, callback, and interactions through various social media platforms.
Customer Service Score: 5.0
We tested the live customer chat team extensively and they were fantastic. Every question we had was answered within seconds—easily the fastest and most comprehensive support we’ve received from a casino in recent times.
If you can’t access live chat (which is available 24-7) you can create a support ticket or request a callback on this page. They’re also on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and offer a helpful FAQ section.

Conclusion
Barstool Casino is not far away from being a real top-class online gaming venue. However, it just falls short in a few key areas—it’s excellent, and we would definitely recommend it to players, but it still has room for improvement.
