Most online casino deposit match bonuses work like this:
- Player makes a cash deposit
- Casino adds a percentage of this deposit (usually 100%) as “bonus cash” into the player’s wallet
- Players wager this “bonus cash” a number of times.
- Any remaining bonus cash can be withdrawn as profit!
Unfortunately Party Poker makes it far more complicated. Players can receive up to 100% of their deposited amount as bonus cash, but they have to wager first. For every $1 wagered, for example, players earn 1 point. Every 4 points earned at the poker table can be converted to $1 bonus cash; for casino games, it’s every 8 points.
This can be repeated up to $600 maximum. The $25 no deposit bonus is split as follows:
- $5 for tournaments and sit & go events
- $10 for poker cash games
- $10 for video slots and jackpot games (1x wagering requirement)
All in all, this is a very clunky and unusual bonus. It seems like the casino has used this approach to avoid traditional wagering requirements – however, players understand wagering requirements, while this is just confusing. Compared to any competitors, this is a weak bonus.
